Review: Suti Cleanse Balm, The Cleanser Your Skin Will Thank You For!

We all want a healthy-looking skin. Who doesn’t? We seek for the right beauty or skincare products whenever we get the chance. However, once we’re out there, we just don’t know which one to pick. There’s jus too many of them! From foam, soap, powder, gel, to oil cleansers, they all promise one thing – cleansed, clear, and supple skin. But do they actually deliver? So this Momma Bean would like to share with you one of her beauty finds, and if you want to try it out, well, there’s one way to find out, read this post 🙂

When it comes to some things, I only ever get too excited when A) there’s a massive sale on and items are going down from £5 under! or B) I just managed to come across a huge discount online or I can get some cash back after my shopping and C) when I find a product that really, really works for me! A product that I’m more than willing to invest in even if it’s a little bit over my preferred quota!

And that’s the type of product we’re going to talk about in this post. Suti’s Cleanse Balm.

Suti, part of my well-loved brands/products, is a unique British skincare brand that carries a range of luxurious organic products with beautifully blended high quality ingredients, that will nourish, energise and cocoon your skin from harmful irritants.

When I say that it’s a product that really, really works for me, that’s an understatement! Suti Cleanse Balm is my Holy Grail. There, I said it. The first ever product I’ve really labelled with that name. It simply is my skin’s best friend.

Last year, Suti Cleanse Balm was voted the Best Cleanser by Ecologist, as part of the Eco Beauty Heroes 2011. Well, it’s not a surprised that even them got swept away by this balm’s goodness. And you will be, too!

Just check this link out and see for yourself as to how many magazines, blog posts, etc., Suti’s products have been featured on.

Packaging, What’s included, & Price

• Suti Cleanse Balm 50ml : £26.00 •

• Muslin cloth • spatula (stick?) •

It comes in this simple, yet wonderfully designed packaging, along with a handy muslin cloth. An unbleached organic 100% muslin cloth — made in the UK — and has been certified by the Soil Association.

But is it worth the price? Keep reading, you’ll soon find out. 😉

Out of the box!

The balm is fully secured in this well-made transparent glass jar where you can have a view (at the back) on how much content you have left. We don’t want any surprises of running out of this goodness stash, do we now?

And of course, Suzannah & Tina are fully aware that us girlies hate to ‘dip’ our  fingers in the jar! Hence, they’ve got us covered with this teeny weeny spatula, or stick (?) Well, it’s better than nothing, if I’m being honest.

The unscrew lid is not as fiddly as I thought and it compliments very well with Suti’s logo or design with that metallic-type finish. Something you can be proud of displaying in the bathroom!

Quantity & Quality

This cleansing balm is something you will start to look forward to, day and night, when you go through your beauty regime.

A wonderful treat to a tired skin that needs uplifting after a long, stressful day. The beautifully formulated ingredients and citrus-y aroma will greet you, enough to wake your senses up, while at the same time drawing out impurities, to give you a clear and refreshed looking skin. Sounds wonderful?

And a little goes a long way with this 50 ml jar!

Closer look…

The grainy particles are the unrefined Shea Butter — that melts when in contact with your skin — used as part of the ingredients that helps to intensively nourish your skin.

I was very intrigued when I first came across this brand via Tiana’s Storybookapothecary.com’s post. I have never thought of a balm cleanser before. Although, I love lip balms. 🙂

And let me tell you, once you’ve tried it, there’s no turning back!

Effectiveness & Swatches…

Greasy or non-greasy?

My skin type is Combination/Oily with greasy T-zone at times, dry patches and dark spots from previous breakouts. And this has certainly improved my skin appearance and rescue me from breaking out many times due to sleeping late.

Did my skin feel greasy after? Surprisingly, no! Just a fully revived and moisturized face that feels soft to touch.

And when my other half made a comment that my skin definitely looks better, I knew I was doing something right!

Here are the reasons why your skin would ♥ this product.

Ingredients & Directions on how to use…

“Blended Apricot Kernel, Sunflower and Shea Butter to intensively nourish, protect and help slough dead skin cells; Avocado to soothe, nourish and revitalise skin, Olive Oil to help soothe and calm inflammation and Calendula to help heal and tighten up the pores, Cleanse Facial Cleanser will leave the skin tingling and refreshed, purified and pampered.”

Feed your skin™, Suti’s concept when it comes to all their products.

These certified organic ingredients, along with the high quality essential oils, will gently cleanse your skin while keeping it hydrated and giving its well-deserved TLC. And your skin will certainly show its appreciation sooner than you think.

Why would you love Suti Cleanse Balm even more?

Because now you can skip an extra step from your routine! And who doesn’t want a straightforward skincare routine??

For a busy Mom and make up minimalist like myself, I want something straightforward, but effective.

So having a product that would take off  our my make up as well as cleanse and moisturize* our skin is something worth our precious time, don’t you think?

Let’s put this balm to a test to see if it deserves our standing ovation as a 3 in 1 product, shall we?

So here goes.

What’s used:

• Victoria Secret’s Foundation in Light (my foundation before I discovered BB cream) • Rosee Waterproof Mascara • CoverGirl Liquid Eyeliner • Etude House Eyebrow Pencil •

I let all these cosmetics settled in my skin before applying the balm cleanser, to test whether it’s enough to take it off, or not.

And the result?…

TA-DA!

Although the first frame does not look quite promising, with the help of this wet (hand hot water) muslin cloth (of which by the way now needs washing), one or two swipes and the make up all came off, like magic!

Now, going back to ‘is it worth the price of £26’?

In my opinion, Suti Cleanse Balm is worth every penny!

And since it’s so good, I just had to share it with you, make sure you stay tuned for the chance to win samples of Suti’s range!

How do you feel about Suti’s Cleanse Balm? Would you like to try this product? Share your ‘Holy Grail’ product/s.

A big Thank You to Tina at Suti for kindly giving me the opportunity to share this product to everyone here.

*As a moisturizer, in my opinion, it would work for those with Combination to Normal to Dry skin. Although for Very Dry or Trouble skin, you might another product to keep your skin fully hydrated.

  1. Thanks for the detailed post D, I remember you told me about the product but it’s great to see that it works so well. I love that it kills two birds with 1 stone – removes makes and cleanses at the same time 🙂

  2. Wow that looks so good! I’m glad you only need a little too, it makes the price more acceptable! I don’t actually have a holy grail product yet, I just haven’t found anything quite perfect yet. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places!

  3. Ooooh this looks like such an amazing product! Very cute how they thought about us not dipping hands into the balm 🙂 I’m glad this is going to a good home – maybe I can get my man to bring some over from the UK…Malaysia doesn’t have it!

  7. Thank you for such a detailed post. This has helped me so much. I have been thinking of getting the Suti cleanser or not, but judging from your review, you have had such a nice experience from it.

I have used balm/butter cleanser in the past such as coconut oil alone and I really enjoy it. I like the process of watching it melt and really clean my make up, it’s astonishing how such a natural product can do that! (and yet consumers still buy non-natural ones that are really expensive).

    Thanks!

    • Hello! Thanks for dropping by and leaving such a wonderful comment! Suti is definitely a brand not to miss. I’m running out of my cleanser and due to buy another jar :). It’s so perfect for sensitive skin as well. I’ve been meaning to try more balm cleanser but just never saw ones that caught my attention. 🙂

I know what you mean, others still go for very expensive ones even though they’re all packed with nasty chemicals. I’m so glad that there’s now a wide variety of natural products out there though. Do let me know how you get on with Suti 🙂 xx D
